Østerbro is stylishly elegant, family friendly and probably Copenhagen's greenest neighborhood. With its waterfront and parks it is a great place for families to relax or go for a bike ride.
Østerbro offers some of the finest premium shopping of the city, with exclusive fashion, interior stores, Danish design, beautiful arts and crafts inviting you to meander. Aside from that there are many culinary highlights waiting to be discovered: Michelin star restaurants, cozy cafes and Deli's with amazing open faced sandwiches.
Østerbro is lucky to have lots of water around it, with beautiful Svanemølle beach, a relatively new sandy beach with a 130 meter long pier into the water, on the one side and the Copenhagen lakes on the other side. If you prefer green over water then head to popular Fælledparken, Copenhagen's largest park with playgrounds for kids, outdoor chess tables, sports grounds a dance pavillion and lots of green space to roam around. As if this is not enough, Østerbro also boasts the lively harbour front, the Citadel and the little mermaid.
As you can see there's quite a lot to see and do.
