TUSCANY IN SPRING

There’s nothing quite like springtime in Tuscany. The streets are still quiet, as the masses of tourists have not yet arrived. With nearly 20 degrees Celsius one can almost feel the summer lingering in the air. From small borgos to larger cities- there’s a hustle and bustle all around. Some locals are busy painting their shutters, others fill pots and planters with beautiful flowers or get their outdoor spaces ready for that time of the year, when meals are frequently enjoyed alfresco. Villas, gardens and parks everywhere are opening their gates to visitors, revealing wonderworks of flowers. Nature is awakening from winter, delighting us with fragrant blooms and an enchanting play of colors. Whether you like to hike in the vineyards of the Chianti, take long walks along the Versilia or Maremma coastlines or prefer meandering around Florence and enjoying an aperitivo in the sunshine, Tuscany is a wonderful place in spring.

DISCOVER THE MUNCH MUSEUM
The MUNCH, designed by award-winning architects estudio Herreros, is one of the world’s largest museums dedicated to a single artist. Eleven new exhibition halls allow visitors to access the most extensive collection of works by Edvard Munch in the world, spanning over 26,700 works. Highlights in the new museum are monumental mural paintings including The Sun (1909), which stretches nearly 8 meters, as well as several versions of Munch’s iconic work, The Scream, including an early study in pastel from 1893 and a later painted version from 1910. The MUNCH is both a cultural and architectural highlight, and should not be missed when visiting Oslo.
