Many years ago when it was still active, Kronobageriet in Stockholm baked up to 60,000 loaves of bread a day. When the business was closed down in 1958, bread had been made there for over 300 years. Even though the name was Kronobageriet, the locals called it Stora Bageriet. And so it was decided to take just that name back, when the bakery recently reopened.
Stora Bageriet is an artisanal bakery serving specialty coffee, lunch, natural wine (only in Östermalm) and of course their delicious house baked pastries & breads. They work with local producers, curating only high quality products and serve a refined menu of carefully created items that are in tune with the seasons. You can also visit their newest location at Eriksgatan 88 in Vasastan.

This is a place you definitely need to stop by, not just for the wonderful bread!
