The English Garden
In the style of british landscaping, the English Garden was opened to the public in 1792. Over two centuries later it is still Munich's green "oasis" and a favorite meeting place for young and old.

The English garden has much to offer- whether it be jogging through lush green, relaxing by a stream or going for a boat ride on the lake. Popular beer gardens at the "Seehaus" and the "Chinesischer Turm" tempt visitors with bavarian specialties and a cold beer.
During all seasons, the park is home to spontaneous soccer, rugby and cricket matches. The famous Eisbach - wave, located at the southern end of the park, attracts surfers of all ages.

In summer the "Chinesicher Turm" hosts the traditional "Kocherlball". In winter it offers a magnificent setting for an idyllic christmas market.
