The Paustian story began in 1964 on Vesterbrogade in Copenhagen, where Ole Paustian founded the Paustian furniture store, a company his father had owned since 1937. Over the years, Ole and Monika Paustian, successfully built up the Paustian brand, selling furniture of personal friends like Ray and Charles Eames and Alvar Aalto in their store and turning Paustian into what it is today. Since 1964 Paustian has represented some of the most celebrated and renowned furniture designs for homes and organizations.

In December 2018, Paustian opened a new location in a beautiful palazzo-like building that once housed one of Denmarks oldest banks in the center of Copenhagen.
The concept store in Niels Hemmingsens Gade 24 is a state of the art design universe that brings together both Danish and International design classics and contemporary design. All this is presented in a spectacular setting surrounded by high-ceilings, column-supported arches, marble details and armored vaults. Interior dreams do come true.
