The story of the D'Angleterre goes back 260 years when two young people fell in love and together embarked on a great adventure. He a French servant knowledegeable about serving the priviledged, she a talented cook. In 1755 Mr &Mrs Marchal opened up a restaurant on Köngens Nytorv, thereby laying the cornerstone of the D'Angleterre.

Located in the heart of Kopenhagen the D'Angleterre has weathered many storms during the two and a half decades of its existence. Today the hotel is a magnificant grand hotel which has skillfully created a synthesis of classic tradition and modern luxury.
It boasts 92 elegant rooms and suites, some of which pay tribute to famous Danish artists and writers such as Hans Christian Andersen. Culinary highlights are guaranteed in "Marchal" the Michelin Star restaurant and the champagne bar Balthazar.
