The city center or København K is the heart and without a doubt the busiest area of the city. But it is sure to have something for everyone as not only many cultural points of interest are located here but also great shopping, amazing food, a bustling nightlife and the amusement park Tivoli.
The area around Slotsholmen holds many cultural highlights in store such as 800 year old Christiansborg Palace now home to the Danish parliament. Those interested in art should head to the Torvaldsen museum, displaying the works of the world famous sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen. Also interesting is Nikolaj Kunsthal, a renovated church now serving as a venue for contemporary art. After getting acquainted with its experimental art head to the top of its tower and enjoy the great view over the city. Or go back in time in the National Museum to learn about Danish history from the Stone Age over the Renaissance to modern times.

Between Tivoli and the old Citadel you can shop until you drop. There is a vast amount of interior design shops, fashion stores, unique boutiques, arts & crafts shops and more. Try to stroll along the smaller side streets and dive into the Copenhagen lifestyle.

Copenhagen has many Michelin Star Restaurants. Most of them can be found in the city center. There are also many cozy cafes with excellent coffe inviting you to stay and linger for a while. For those looking to finish the day off at one of the many excellent bars or clubs there are many options, whether you are looking for a 4 story night club to dance the night away or a perfectly cozy bar with incredible cocktails, you are sure to find something suitable.
