Christianshavn is a picturesque group of Islands known for its many colorful houses and beautiful canals. Probably the best way to explore it is by water. FriendShips is just one of the (electric) boat rentals located close to many attractions that can be explored by water. To some, Christianshavn may be best known for Freetown Christiania, but it has much more to offer.

The Church of our Saviour for instance, is a highlight that should not be missed. Those looking for a little excercise and not afraid of heights should take the 400 steps to the top and look forward to being rewarded with what is probably the most spectacular view of the city. At the Greenlandic Trade Square (across the Inner Harbor bridge by Nyhavn), where Traders from Greenland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands used to arrive, one finds Bridge Street kitchen, a wonderful food market that should be on every foodie's list. You can treat yourself to world class street food while enjoying a beautiful harbor view.

The days of Islands Brygge, being an industrial area are long gone. Today Christianshavn's neighbor is a hip, waterfront area, beaming with modern architecture and harbourside living. The Islands Brygge harbour bath is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, particularly during the summer months. But the area also offers quite a few culinary highlights like Alouette or Bryggen11. Wecycle, part coffe shop part bicycle shop offers some of the best coffee in Copenhagen.
