Gamla Stan the historical center of Stockholm is also called "Staden mellan broarna" - the city between two bridges. It connects Norrmalm in the north and Södermalm in the south. Colorful gabled houses are testimonial of another time. Until today the city possesses many of its characteristics of the Middle Ages. And so it is that once you begin to meander around the small alleys (the smallest of which is only 90 cm wide) you feel a bit like a time traveller. Art galleries, numerous shops and cozy cafes invite you to sit and linger.

The Royal castle, the Tyska Kirken (German church), the Nobel Museum and Riddarholen (House of the knight) are only some of the many highlights Gamla Stan has to offer.
